What happened

We set off from Santiago de Compostela on 31 August, and four episodes in it was over: Rodri came off the bike and broke his foot in four places. A&E told us two; the specialist back in Galicia found four.

We are stopping until he recovers. When he can ride again we will not pick up where we left off: we set off again from scratch, and the series starts over at episode 1. The four videos we filmed stay on the channel as “Riding Africa FAIL”.

What this is

We are two brothers, Isi and Rodri, and we are riding around Africa on a Ténéré 700 and a CRF300L: down the west side, up the east, and through the middle wherever we can. The plan is about two years, off-road.

We tell it as it happens: Monday to Saturday we post that same day’s video, and on Sunday, the week in one. And on this site, one page per country with the real route, the GPX we ride with, the paperwork they actually asked us for and what it cost.

That last part is the one almost nobody publishes, and the one we would have wanted most before setting off.
